The obvious answer is that we came from our mother’s womb. We exist because during the sexual act of intercourse, our father provided sperm which fertilized an egg from our mother and nine months later we were born? In other words we were conceived by a miracle of sexual, and we hope loving, unity. Is this the whole story?
For many people who do not believe in God, this is the entire story. But is it? If we go back to the Creation 5,772 years ago, God breathed a living soul into Adam and Adam was created from the stardust of the four corners of the earth and perhaps the heavens to become a living being. Adam was already a full grown youth when he was “born” and did not come from his mother’s womb. A most fascinating story that truly is unbelievable. To further this incredulous tale, God created Eve from one of Adam’s ribs. God thus became the first genetic engineer as He cloned Eve from Adam. By all rights, Adam and Eve should be identical twins but they were not because Adam was male and Eve was female. Then in a sexual union Eve’s egg was fertilized by Adam’s sperm and she gave birth to twin sons, Cain and Abel who had very different personalities and likely different DNA.
Skeptics will tell you that the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is hogwash. Less skeptical individuals will tell you that the story is simply a metaphor. And then you have the Orthodox Jews and Evangelical Christians who will fervently insist that this biblical description is absolute truth. They will also tell you that this is the way man’s origins came to be and that Evolution is just a theory and it’s the real metaphor not Creation. Your author, Jerry Pollock, believes that God fashioned Adam from the stardust, breathed a living soul into him to give him life, and created Eve from Adam’s rib. Where I differ with devout religious people is I do believe in Evolution and that God is the omnipotent Creator of both Evolution and Creation and that both existed in different time frames. Some of us therefore are descendants of Creation and some of us are descendants of Evolution even though evolution of modern humans have been around for tens of thousands of years while Adam only dates back shy of six thousand years. We shall discuss Creation and Evolution in a later Blog Post. It is also worth noting that there is both a Christian and Jewish belief that the End of Days and the Messianic Age begins close to or at the end of six thousand years since Adam’s birth. But this too is the subject of a further Blog Post.
Even if you don’t believe in the story of Adam and Eve, do you believe that the soul that God gave you, your Divine Soul gives your body life? Of course an atheist would definitely veto that suggestion because there is no God for them. And the agnostics sitting on the fence have subliminal fear that they might need to call on God in a crisis so they aren’t willing to take a stand one way or the other. Think about the soul as a vitality factor like the blood as we continue on in our next writing. And while you are at it, think about whether you just might want to take the next step to believe in God. If you can’t make this leap of faith then you won’t be able to take the next step. However even if you are stuck where you are, we welcome you to our website and invite your comments to our postings. We also wish you the best for a joyous life.
Before closing, I wanted to share with you a quote from a biblical commentator, “Even the most objective people have blind spots where their own interests and opinions are concerned.” I too am guilty of having blind spots.

More than three thousand years ago God told the ancient Israelites in the Sinai Desert, "Build me a Sanctuary and I God shall dwell among you." This holds true today when we build God's future Third Temple on Earth. YOU CAN HELP. DONATE NOW.
